Not Your Typical Evening at Arbor Park

Arbor Park is all about laid back fun and quiet gatherings around the fireplace, but we stepped it up for a night on the town Saturday, April 4 when Autumn Hall hosted the Patron’s Party for the 62nd Annual North Carolina Azalea Festival here in Wilmington. We’ve seen some nice events here since Arbor Park’s completion last summer: a party for then Lt. Governor Bev Perdue, the award ceremony for the Autumn Hall Middle School Excellence in Teaching Program and numerous casual oyster roasts around the big fireplace but this one definitely raised the bar if your thing is black tie and fancy dresses. Try over 400 people in full on party attire, tents and chandeliers, dancing, fancy food, the Azalea queen and two flat screens to watch the Tar Heels crush Villanova. The party was a hit, and we were delighted to see locals and celebrities admire our new homes.

Glad we don’t have to do it every day, but it sure was fun.
